The Entrepreneurship and Access to Finance component of the Zantchito Skills for Jobs programme financed by the European Union (EU) in Malawi and coordinated by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Malawi office and the Government of Malawi is targeting to provide entrepreneurial support and access to financing facility to 3,800 Technical, Entrepreneurial, and Vocational Training (TEVET) graduates, and Medium and Small Enterprises (MSEs) to create a minimum of 7,600 jobs.

This will be achieved by developing the capacity of TEVET graduates and MSEs through the provision of incubation, and business development services, and bridging access to financing facilities.

Selected successful TEVET graduates and MSEs with entrepreneurship interests will be enrolled into various selected Incubators where they will be given targeted pre-incubation, incubation, and post-incubation support depending on their needs

While in the Incubator, the Incubatees will be supported with business development services and have access to financial resources to meet critical production costs. Upon graduation from the incubation, the entrepreneurs will be capable of establishing successful business enterprises that create at least two jobs to support their growth.

It is expected that 80 percent of the supported start-ups and MSEs will experience an increase in revenue as a result of the support from Zantchito activities, with 40 percent being women-owned enterprises.
